Abbotsford pedestrian collision leaves man in hospital with serious injuries

Abbotsford police are investigating after a man and child were struck by a vehicle on Sunday morning.

The incident happened at the intersection of Montrose  and Essendene avenues.

Police said the collision left the man in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The child was only lightly bumped and was not seriously hurt, police said.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.

Investigators said the Abbotsford police collision analytics team has been called to the scene and that the intersection will be closed for some time.
