Chaos as man gives out 'thousands of pounds' in free cash to people on the street – but is all as it seems? | The Sun

CHAOS erupted after a man handed out “thousands of pounds” on the street – but all may not be as it appears.

The TikTok user known as “Amiotalio” took to the social media site to share the event with his 104,000 followers.

The short clip begins with the influencer surrounded by a large crowd in London’s Hyde Park along with the caption: “Amiotalio giving away 6.5k away in Hyde Park.”

He appears to throw out bank notes to the people gathered below him who scramble to grab them.

The star then walks towards the camera and says: “Spreading the love. We’re spreading the love.”

The footage then cuts to his face in darkness, with him saying: “That was absolute madness in central London. We gave away £6,500.

“We also gave away a PS5 even though the ‘feds’ tried to stop it. We gave back to the community to say thank you.

“It’s all them TikTokers doing your part for the community.

“It’s all good getting the clicks and the likes and all that. Like I said, it was never about the money, it’s always about the message. Always be humble and give back to your people.”

While many of his followers supported his actions, lots of others questioned his motives and were suspicious that he really did give that amount of money away.

One person said: “U chat so much s**t bro it’s always been about the money.”

Another wrote: “Marketing general biggest snake in all this he used you ALL for clout and ‘marketing’  soon as he sent the 6.5 grand his tone of voice changed.”

A third commentator added: “Wasn’t even £650 let alone £6,500” and added a laughing emoji.

A fourth person said: “Be decent by meeting and greeting the supporters and giving them the money in hand rather than throwing it around as if you feeding pigeons.”

Fans though were fully behind his actions, with one saying he was "the goat" (greatest of all time).

Another said: "I was there it was so mad."

It seems the chaos continued when the star moved to Oxford Street and his followers gathered round him.

The police appear to have intervened to move the crowds on in what Amio described as a “lock off”.
