British Olympic diver Jack Laugher channels his inner superhero with fellow athletes in a recreation of the Avengers Assemble film scene.

The diver, 24, who won gold at the Rio Olympics in 2016, posted the video on Twitter yesterday with each of the athletes pretending to be a character as they took some downtime at training camp in Antalya, Turkey.

Jack takes on Dr Strange, who is originally played by Benedict Cumberbatch in the 2019 Avengers Endgame film.

Avengers Endgame was released April 26 2019

Footage shows clever video editing which reverses the action to make the divers appear as if they are emerging from the water and landing in a warrior pose on the pier.

The video posted to Jack’s 91,700 Twitter followers has gained more than 68,000 likes.

‘The choreography took about 15 minutes getting everyone in order then only two tries to get it right! Jack told BBC newsround.

In the film, which was released in April 2019, the final battle scene shows the avengers come together to create a dream team in order to defeat super villain Thanos.

The film follows the previous Infinity War film, 2018, which had devastating effects leaving the universe in ruins.

With the help of key allies, the Avengers come together to reverse Thanos’ evil actions and restore the universe.
