Goodwood punters toast their winnings and drown their sorrows as the booze flows at racecourse

BOOZED-UP racegoers roared on their horses on Ladies Day as they flocked to Glorious Goodwood today.

Punters toasted their winnings and drowned their sorrows at one of racing's most popular festivals in Chichester.




The booze was flowing on day three as glamorous revellers partied in their glad rags and temperatures rocketed to 24C.

Hats and fascinators were out in force, but the long day of partying took its toll on some racegoers, who sprawled out on the grass.

The five-day event, which runs until Saturday, attracts fans from all over the country.

And plenty of visitors were happy to crack open the plonk from early on as Ladies Day was signed off in glorious fashion.
