UK Outlook for Friday 21 Dec 2018 to Sunday 30 Dec 2018

Friday will have a dry start for most, with patchy frost and fog, but cloud and rain in the southwest.

The wet conditions in the southwest will spread northeastwards through the day, later bringing clearer, windy and showery conditions which will last into Saturday.

The Christmas period will likely see more of this unsettled weather, with rain spells possibly preceded by hill snow and, at times, strong winds.

The last week of December should see more settled, drier conditions, with the rain restricted to the north and west.

Temperatures will most likely fluctuate around average, but turn colder when conditions settle.
