A paraprofessional was busted this week for whacking a 20-year-old autistic student with a ruler inside a Brooklyn school, cops said.
Aries Baluyot, 44, allegedly hit the student several times on his behind earlier this week inside P.S. K271, a vocational training school for students with developmental disabilities, police said.
The incident happened on Monday or Tuesday, but Baluyot was charged Friday after the student reported it to his father, cops said.
His dad brought him to Coney Island Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Baluyot was charged with second-degree assault, according to authorities.
“This alleged behavior is deeply disturbing and has no place in our schools,” DOE spokesman Doug Cohen said in a statement. “He’s being suspended without pay.”
