Three teenage boys who murdered father-of-two on his doorstep with two-foot ‘Rambo’ knife and then rapped about the attack are jailed for life

- Frantisek Olah, 31, was stabbed to death on his doorstep in Basingstoke, in May
Three teenagers who killed a father-of-two in Hampshire with a two foot long ‘Rambo knife’, and then laughed, rapped and joked about it have been jailed for a combined total of 90 years.
The three teenage boys stabbed Frantisek Olah, 31, to death in front of his horrified partner, as their child slept upstairs, on his doorstep on Musgrave Close, in Basingstoke on May 22 last year.
Ismaila Kamarra-Jarra, 19, along with 18-year-olds Je’daine Carty and Cohan Daley, butchered the unsuspecting, ‘beloved and caring’ father-of-two.
After ‘catastrophically’ slaying the 31 year old at his home in Basingstoke, on May 22 last year by stabbing him ‘up to 20 times’, the ‘chuckling’ trio ‘made jokes’ and rapped about the ‘senseless act of violence’.
They ‘callously’ planned their escape while their victim lay dying on the floor in his own blood ‘unable to breathe’, a court heard today.
The court heard the men were shouting ‘give me the car keys’ and later searched through kitchen cupboards before fleeing the scene.
Kelsea Byrne, 19, Abbie Mills and Kaysha Saunders, both 18, were cleared of assisting an offender, having been accused of helping the men flee from the scene and hide evidence.
Appearing today at Winchester Crown Court, Hants, following their murder trial, the trio were handed life sentences.
Honourable Mr Justice Martin Spencer said that, despite insisting they only intended to rob their victim, they were bent on killing him, telling them ‘Your intention was death’.
The court previously heard Mr Olah, who knew Carty through drug deals, was pronounced dead at the scene in the early hours of May 22 after a ‘profuse’ loss of blood, with stab wounds up to 12cm deep.
Prosecuting Sarah Jones KC said told jurors that Carty was in debt to Mr Oleh for drugs.
She added that one of the knives used was a 67cm-long Rambo knife, which had a part serrated 43cm blade.
Je’daine Carty, 18, of Ferndown Close, Basingstoke, was given a minimum terms of 29 years after the brutal killing of Frantisek Olah, 31, on his doorstep in May last year
Ismaila Kamarra-Jarra, 19, of Milton Close, Basingstoke, was sentenced to life with a minimum term of 32 years
Cohan Daley, whose address cannot be given for legal reasons, were given minimum terms of 29 years each
Speaking today, she said: ‘[Mr Olah] had just turned 31 years old at the time. He was at home with his long term partner, Chelsea Lee’.
She told the court: ‘Je’daine Carty, Ismaila Kamarra-Jarra and Cohan Daley arrived at Frantisek’s door and within an astonishingly short period of time he was lying on the floor of his hallway, just inside his own front door, bleeding to death from numerous stab wounds.
‘They mercilessly cut him down with apparently little thought for what they were doing, whether they would be caught or whether others were likely to betray them.
‘Their subsequent behaviour seems to suggest some of them may even have enjoyed the feelings of power or ruthlessness that appear to have possessed them and have revelled in the memories.
‘Ms Lee was so terrified that she left her child alone in the house with the men.
‘They tried their best over the following days to evade police and escape the consequences of their actions.’
The court heard from Mr Olah’s traumatised partner, Miss Lee, who witnessed the trio ‘mercilessly’ kill him.
The mother of one, who has been left to raise their child alone, descried Mr Olah as a ‘role model’ and said she was ‘afraid’ of the future without him.
She said she still ‘feared for her life’ and avoided being home alone.

In a statement read to the court, Miss Lee said: ‘I have lost a person who was a big part of [our] lives.
‘We were building our lives together and planning to get married in a few years. Now I worry about my future.’
She berated her partner’s ‘remorseless’ killers for ‘laughing and joking’ at their trial.
She said: ‘Whilst I was giving evidence the defendants were laughing and joking trying to distract me.
‘The fact that they can do this and show no remorse shows what they really are.’
Mr Olah’s mother, Iveta Olahova, described her son as a ‘caring’ father with a ‘joyous attitude and love for life’.
Addressing his killers directly, she said: ‘By killing Frantisek you might think you have won.
‘You might have thought of it as cool. The only thing you have succeeded in is ruining your own lives and your families.’
She described the ‘intensity’ of their attack as they ‘viciously’ stabbed her son until he ‘lay in his own blood unable to breathe’ whilst they ‘callously’ planned their own escape.

Mitigating for Carty, Laurie-Anne Power said the trio went to their victim’s home with the intention of stealing ‘drugs and money’ and to use violence with weapons ‘if the need arose or even if it did not’.
She added: ‘But an intention to kill, perhaps particularly in relation to Daine Carty, [was] something he did not plan for or even consider as being possible.’
She said Mr Olah had ‘used’ Carty for drug deals in a ‘controlling and coercive’ manner and that the teenager was ‘completely out of his depth’.
She told the court: ‘Mr Carty was a child and Mr Olah was an adult deeply involved in the world of drug dealing. There is no parity.
‘(There is a cruel irony) that he looked up to him and saw him as a father figure.’
Andrew Bird KC, representing Daley, said there was ‘no forensic evidence’ that he carried a knife himself and that he had ‘nothing to gain’ from Mr Olah’s death.
A Hampshire police spokesman said that Carty, Kamarra-Jarra and Daley were ‘heard laughing after the incident and they even wrote ‘twisted’ lyrics and recorded rap videos describing the murder’.
Sentencing the trio, the Honourable Mr Justice Martin Spencer insisted that ‘death was their intention’.
He said: ‘The evidence is that you Carty, had been a runner for Mr Olah.
‘You told the court you decided to rob Mr Olah and that was your attention and nothing more.
One of the knives used to kill Mr Olah was a 67cm-long Rambo knife, which had a part serrated 43cm blade
‘However, I find that this makes no sense, merely to have robbed him could have led to repercussions for you and would not have solved your problems. I say you decided to rid yourself of Olah by killing him.
‘As soon as he opened the door you [Carty] pushed it hard causing him to fall, you had your knife out and immediately knifed him. I find you caused the two vicious chop wounds to his head. The other two followed you in immediately Chelsea Lee saw all three of you stabbing Mr Olah.
‘Death was the intention for all of you, you attacked and killed Mr Olah in his own home.’
Detective Chief Inspector Justin Dipper said: ‘This was a tragic and senseless act of violence that has not only led to a young father-of two losing his life, but it has also destroyed many others, including the lives of the three men sentenced today.
‘Carty, Kamarra-Jarra and Daley went to Frantisek’s house that night, armed with knives. They carried out a sustained and brutal attack on him, in his own home with his family present, before leaving him to die.
‘As always, our thoughts remain with Frantisek’s family, friends and loved ones. Whilst we know nothing will bring Frantisek back, I hope that today’s sentences provide some measure of comfort to them at what remains an incredibly difficult time.
‘I hope this case sends a strong message to anyone who chooses to carry a weapon or become involved in serious violence, no good ever comes from it. The consequences destroy lives forever.
Mr Olah bled to death just inside his own front door, after being stabbed in his home on Musgrave close in Baskingstoke
‘Parts of the investigation were particularly harrowing and I would like to commend my staff for handling the case professionally and with Frantisek at the forefront of their minds throughout.’
The judge told the court the teenagers made videos laughing about what had happened just hours after the attack showing ‘how dangerous’ they are, and that they later made rap videos describing the attack.
Kamarra-Jarra, of Milton Close, Basingstoke, was sentenced to life with a minimum term of 32 years.
Carty, of Ferndown Close, Basingstoke, and Daley, whose address cannot be given for legal reasons, were given minimum terms of 29 years each.
