{"id":142580,"date":"2023-08-30T17:33:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-30T17:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebritywshow.com\/?p=142580"},"modified":"2023-08-30T17:33:00","modified_gmt":"2023-08-30T17:33:00","slug":"the-real-reason-maria-bello-left-ncis-and-what-shes-up-to-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebritywshow.com\/tv-movies\/the-real-reason-maria-bello-left-ncis-and-what-shes-up-to-now\/","title":{"rendered":"The real reason Maria Bello left NCIS &#8211; and what she&#8217;s up to now"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>NCIS: Actor Rocky Carrol on the success of TV show<\/h3>\n<p>NCIS viewers were forced to bid farewell to forensic psychologist Jacqueline \u201cJack\u201d Sloane (played by Maria Bello) in season 18, just three years after she was introduced.<\/p>\n<p>Although she was one of many fan-favorites to depart from the CBS drama over the past two decades viewers were heartbroken to see her go.<\/p>\n<p>After her season 15 debut, Sloane became a key member of NCIS\u2019 Major Case Response Team led by NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon).<\/p>\n<p>She provided profiles of the criminals they were looking for as well as occasionally going into the field to help the team during their investigations.<\/p>\n<p>However, Sloan\u2019s portrayal on screens came to an end when Bello decided not to renew her three-year contract.<\/p>\n<p> <strong> READ MORE: <\/strong> <strong>NCIS&#8217; Timothy McGee isn&#8217;t actually an original star of the CBS drama<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/20\/590x\/secondary\/Maria-Bello-4935016.jpg?r=1693415357950\"><\/p>\n<p>Although there was speculation of tension on set, the actress only had kind words for the series as she announced her exit.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside photos of her character and a behind-the-scenes goodbye kiss with her co-star Mark Harmon, Bello shared a lengthy statement on Instagram confirming her departure.<\/p>\n<p>She wrote: \u201cAnd that\u2019s a wrap for Jack Sloane, I\u2019ve learned many things on this journey for the last three and a half years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI understand why this show after 18 years is the most watched in the world &#8211; you must all feel our love. Keep watching.
