He was born on November 1, 1990, and had two world records to his name by the age of 25.<\/p>\n
His passion for adventure has led him to becoming the first person to complete an unsupported walk across Mongolia in 2014.<\/p>\n
His 2,400 km (1,500 mi) journey meant he covered the Altai Mountains and Gobi Desert.<\/p>\n

The trip took 78 days and he became known to locals as the "lonely snow leopard".<\/p>\n
In 2016, he became the first recorded person to cross the length of Madagascar.<\/p>\n
The trek was 2,600 km (1,600 mi) and included its eight highest peaks. <\/p>\n
During the trip, Ash contracted the deadliest strain of malaria and was close to death.<\/p>\n
<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n The experience meant he now works with Malaria No More UK as a special ambassador. <\/p>\n Ash's adventures have meant he has encountered some of the most extreme environments on Earth.<\/p>\n In 2015, Ash received the National Adventurer of the year award.<\/p>\n By 2021, he'd became the first person to walk the length of the Yangtze River, China – the longest river in Eurasia – achieving his third world record. <\/p>\n It took 352 days to complete and meant Ash walked over 4,000 kilometres of treacherous terrain that sent ten of his 16 teammates home.<\/p>\n It also meant he earned himself celebrity status in China. <\/p>\n In order to finance his trips in the early days, Ash took jobs as a lifeguard and Scuba instructor.<\/p>\n He also revealed that he sold his car and cycled everywhere to save money.<\/p>\n As of September 2023, Ash's net worth is estimated to be between \u00a31.2million and \u00a34million.<\/p>\n He earned the majority of his money from his book and documentaries, and can also be booked as a motivational speaker.<\/p>\n Ash has been the ambassador for brands such as Land Rover and Craghoppers, as well as the UK Ambassador for Madagascar Tourism.<\/p>\n Ash may also have earned some of his net worth through various interviews and features.<\/p>\n He's also appeared in promotions, such as GQ photo shoot for Adidas to launch Jet Li\u2019s new Wuji product line.<\/p>\n Ash's walk of the Yangtze River was documented in The 2020 two part documentary was aired in over 90 countries\u00a0and followed his record breaking journey.<\/p>\n It shows his encounters with the local people, wildlife, and difficult terrain.<\/p>\n In 2017, he released the documentary Ash Dykes: Alone in Mongolia.<\/p>\n Ash has released a book on his adventures in Mongolia and Madagascar called Mission Possible: A Decade Of Living Dangerously. <\/p>\n It was published by Eye Books in 2017.<\/p>\n The book has received 154 ratings at an average of 3.88 stars on Goodreads. <\/p>\n One reviewer wrote: "This dude is actually so crazy and so cool.
