The abandoned school was purchased by Hansen’s parents for $15,000 and turned into a home with a kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, and other unique features.

Hansen started his video and stated the purpose of his tour.

He said: “It’s been brought to my attention of how many people do not believe that this school is actually my house.

“I promise you that I actually live in this school.”

The tour started with Hansen opening the main school doors which are still in use as the property’s front door.

The video then showed that the hallways retained the typical school look but were covered in family photos.

He then revealed how the family had renovated an old room into a new bathroom.

The bathroom featured modern grey cabinets with a bright orange top, large mirrors, and towels.

Hansen said: “Well I don’t know any school bathroom that looks like this.”

The teen quickly showed his bedroom, which was right opposite the bathroom.

A couch, TV, gaming chair, and table were visible from the quick shot into the room.

The home also included a renovated kitchen which looked like a stereotypical family one and was not in its former school design.

This large kitchen contained black cabinets, stone worktops, a fridge, appliances, and a kitchen island.

A unique feature across the house is that the family left the original school walls exposed and did not plaster them like a normal home.

Hansen said: “It’s not very common to see homes made out of solid brick.”

He added more proof that his home was a former school as he showed the former auditorium that the family had kept.

Hansen said: “And if that’s not enough proof for you we have the auditorium and straight off of that the kitchen.”

The auditorium retained its mounted basketball hoops and had a pool table in the middle of the space.

In another video, Hansen even showed the home's massive indoor pool.

This unique home does have a downside due to its vast size.

He revealed that the family rarely see each other as each member has their own section of the former school, according to Newsweek.

Hansen’s TikTok video went viral and received over 58 million views and over eight million likes.

Fans took to the comments to share their thoughts on the tour.

One TikToker commented on the house's price.

They said: “I would def live in a school if it costed the same as an apartment.

Many people commented on how scared they would be to live in the old school.

One person said: “That must be scary at night.”

Another person said: “Imagine waking up and u hear someone walking down the hallway.”
