BRITS are braced for thunderstorms and flooding as the last gasp of summer ends this week.<\/p>\n
Families hit parks and beaches to soak up the sun over the weekend, which saw temperatures soar to over 30C in some places.<\/p>\n

The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for rain for some parts of the UK as the sun fades away.<\/p>\n
The weather warning covers regions in the North of England, North west and the Midlands.<\/p>\n
Greater Manchester, Cheshire and parts of Lancashire and Yorkshire are the worst affected.<\/p>\n
Soggy conditions may cause disruption to commuters travelling on the roads or train, warned the forecaster.<\/p>\n

And the Met Office added that there is a potential threat to homes and businesses from flooding.<\/p>\n
The weather warning came into effect at 1am this morning and is in force for 12 hours, ending at 1pm.<\/p>\n
The Met Office says: "Outbreaks of rain are expected to become heavier and more persistent during the early hours of Tuesday, extending east across northeast Wales, the north Midlands, parts of northern England and Lincolnshire.<\/p>\n
"20 to 30 mm rain is likely quite widely within around six hours, with perhaps as much as 40 to 50 mm in a few places. <\/p>\n

The rain is likely to turn more showery during Tuesday afternoon."<\/p>\n Rain and showers are expected to move southeast as the day continues.<\/p>\n Elsewhere in the country will see "dry and sunny" spells, according to the forecaster.<\/p>\n Meteorologists also predict that temperatures will be down compared to last week's glorious weather.<\/p>\n It will feel cooler for most of the country but the very far southeast will feel "warm and humid" with "thunderstorms possible".<\/p>\n The Met Office added that weather tonight could see "clear skies turning chilly with rural grass frost possible".<\/p>\n Looking ahead, Wednesday could be a fine day according to the forecaster. <\/p>\n Sunshine is currently forecast for the morning, turning to cloudy spells in the afternoon, before the wet weather is expected to return on Thursday.<\/p>\nReality star, 36, dies weeks after having second baby as car plunges from cliff<\/h3>\n
