Stacey Solomon's TV show was missing one of its major stars, Dilly Carter, due to a heart-breaking reason.<\/p>\n

Dilly took to social media to reveal her absence from last night's show, Thursday 14 September, was because she had received a devastating cancer diagnosis and was undergoing major surgery.<\/p>\n

The TV star and professional organiser explained how her treatment meant she was unable to film, leaving Sophie Hinchcliffe – aka Mrs Hinch – to step in for that show. <\/span><\/p>\n

The team, which also includes Iwan Carrington and Rob Bent, were heading to The Farrow family's farmhouse to help them declutter when Stacey said: "Dilly can't be with us this week so I've asked my mate Sophie Hinch to muck in."<\/span><\/p>\n

The team helped the Farrow family sort through all of their belongings, cutting their clutter in half after going through the mess that had built up in their five bedroom farmhouse.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sophie had previously revealed Mrs Hinch would be stepping in for Dilly for one episode. The star told The Mirror: \u201cDilly had other commitments so we had to find somebody just for one of the episodes to fill in.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe closest I could think of was Mrs Hinch, because she\u2019s amazing. It was nice to work with her as well as have your mate on set.\u201d Taking to Instagram later, Dilly shared an update and said it was \u201cbittersweet\u201d to watch the show when she hadn't been able to be there in person.<\/p>\n

She explained: " Although it's bittersweet for me and reminds me of how poorly I was and how much pain I was in when this episode was filmed. <\/span><\/p>\n

"I had just come out of hospital following major surgery to remove the cancer and my entire reproductive system. I obviously could not film so was so grateful someone could step in. <\/p>\n

"But I was also so sad to miss it! I can't believe how far I've come since December. It already seems like a lifetime ago already!"<\/p>\n

Dilly shared with her followers ba<\/span>ck in April that she had been diagnosed with stage one cancer of the womb, but is thankfully doing well following treatment.<\/p>\n

In an update shared in August, she said: "It's over \u2026\u2026. No need for any bell ringing, it\u2019s just over. All I've needed from all of this. Is for it to be done. And it is. Now to recover from the last ten months. <\/p>\n

"Thank you all of you for being there. Your messages, love, support. So many people I\u2019m indebted too. You won\u2019t ever be forgotten!"<\/p>\n

In the episode Stacey and her team headed to a farmhouse in rural Shropshire to help Andy and Lianne Farrow and their three kids, Rhys 13, Connor 10 and Amber six.<\/p>\n

They were apprehensive at seeing the size of the house, which was very full for the family of five. Iwan even got lost in a Narnia-style cupboard, but they eventually helped the Farrow family get rid of almost half their belongings. <\/p>\n

Sophie lent a welcome helping hand \u2014 but Stacey 33, admitted she thought the show might be a bit overwhelming for her friend. But Sophie quickly rolled up her sleeves and helped bring some order to the family\u2019s cleaning routine.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
