{"id":143235,"date":"2023-09-19T18:14:08","date_gmt":"2023-09-19T18:14:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebritywshow.com\/?p=143235"},"modified":"2023-09-19T18:14:08","modified_gmt":"2023-09-19T18:14:08","slug":"yellowstone-star-shares-real-life-insight-into-brutal-jimmy-and-rip-brand-scene","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebritywshow.com\/tv-movies\/yellowstone-star-shares-real-life-insight-into-brutal-jimmy-and-rip-brand-scene\/","title":{"rendered":"Yellowstone star shares real-life insight into brutal Jimmy and Rip brand scene"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Watch the trailer for Yellowstone Season 5<\/h3>\n<p>Yellowstone\u2019s Jefferson White has opened up what really happened behind the scenes when his character Jimmy Hurdstram was branded by Rip Wheeler (played by Cole Hauser).<\/p>\n<p>The brutal scene occurred in the show\u2019s pilot episode when John Dutton\u2019s (Kevin Costner) right-hand man recruited him to join them as a ranch hand.<\/p>\n<p>When Jimmy opened the door to find the cowboy at his trailer he was tasered and given an ultimatum.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of his legal troubles, Rip asked the youngster if he would rather head to jail or work on the Yellowstone ranch.<\/p>\n<p>When Jimmy asked: \u201cWhy would John Dutton give a s*** about me,\u201d Rip hit back: \u201cHe doesn\u2019t,\u201d as he opened his shirt to reveal his own branding, adding: \u201cBut he will.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> <strong> READ MORE: <\/strong> <strong>Yellowstone fans demand new episodes and fume as CBS airs edited repeats<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/20\/590x\/secondary\/Yellowstone-Rip-s-branding-4966458.jpg?r=1695110546657\"><\/p>\n<p>As this took place, the cowboy was waving a flamed iron rod with the Yellowstone brand ready to press it on Jimmy\u2019s skin.<\/p>\n<p>Following the season one premiere on CBS, the stars Hurdstram and Hauser opened up about the scene for an episode of Behind the Story.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the significance of the branding, the Rip Wheeler star stated: \u201cYou\u2019re branded, you\u2019re in for life. More info<\/p>\n<p>The actor shared: \u201cThe way that they figured out to do the special effect of the hot brand was to actually superheat a piece of metal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was holding a sort of wooden panel directly below the frame, that they were actually pressing a superheated iron into.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was the only way they could get the steam effect they wanted,\u201d Hurdstram added.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, Jimmy was left with a hooked Y on his skin as a harsh reminder he now belonged to Yellowstone.<\/p>\n<p>Although, he initially thought of it as a punishment, Jimmy later learned the branding meant he was untouchable around the ranch.<\/p>\n<p>It offered him a mandatory level of respect but as a result, he was expected to be wholly loyal and do whatever it took to protect the Dutton ranch<\/p>\n<p>As well as Rip and Jimmy, other ranch hands including Lloyd Pierce (Forrie J.
