AUSTRALIA head coach Eddie Jones sensationally threatened to WALK OUT of an awkward press conference following Wales' demolition of the Wallabies yesterday.

The former England head coach oversaw a record 40-6 defeat to Wales in Lyon on Sunday.

The result sees Australia all but out of the Rugby World Cup as they now have to rely on Fiji to slip up against either Georgia or Portugal.

Jones was grilled during the press conference after rumours emerged that he held a job interview to become Japanese head coach two weeks prior to the beginning of the tournament.

When asked whether the interview had taken place he said: "I don't know what you're talking about, mate."

He had the same response when asked if he had a second interview for the job lined up.

When asked if he could give Australia fans a guarantee that he would still be coach by next year he simply replied: "I'm committed to coaching Australia."

Jones finally had enough after Wallabies captain Dave Porecki was asked about whether his coach's links to Japan affected Australia during their defeat to Wales.

A clearly uncomfortable looking Porecki replied: "We didn't turn up tonight. That's got nothing to do with the noise, it's just got to do with our performance. We weren't good enough."

A now irate Jones interjected as Porecki finished his answer and said: "I really do take umbrage at the questioning, that people are questioning my commitment to coaching Australia.

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO WELCOME OFFERS

"I really take umbrage at it. I've been working non-stop since I've come here and I apologise for the results, I keep saying that.

"But to doubt my commitment to the job I think is a bit red hot.

"So we're not gonna deal with any of those questions any further. I'm happy to talk about Wales, I'm happy to talk about Portugal.

"But if you wanna keep going down that line I'll excuse myself. So do you want to decide what you want to do?"

Jones' ultimatum paid off as he ultimately finished the awkward press conference.

Australia will take on Portugal next Sunday at 4:45 pm with their World Cup hopes hanging by a thread.

</picture>WHATSUP
