\u00a31.1m<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dinner suits, a coat and his collection of silk ties and cravats were all sold<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It&#8217;s been 50 years since he smooth-talked his way into the nation&#8217;s hearts as James Bond in Live in Let Die.<\/p>\n<p>And now the family of Sir Roger Moore have auctioned off the late 007 actor&#8217;s collection of memorabilia and personal items for an impressive \u00a31.1million.<\/p>\n<p>Selling for more than double the \u00a3415,300 estimate, lots including the white ski suit from A View to a Kill and his own passport went under the hammer at Bonhams in London.<\/p>\n<p>The actor, who died in 2017 at the age of 89, had amassed a vast collection of items, including 20 007 Swatches, given to him to celebrate Bond&#8217;s 40th anniversary, which sold for \u00a376,600.<\/p>\n<p>His Omega Speedmaster watch, which had an estimate of \u00a35,000-7,000, sold for \u00a361,360 while his limited edition Omega Seamaster, estimated to fetch \u00a320,000-30,000, sold for \u00a357,550.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" identical to the one worn in 1985&#8217;s A View to Kill, and given to Sir Roger, sold for \u00a328,160 against a \u00a315,000-25,000 estimate.<\/p>\n<p>Items of clothing including dinner suits, a Chesterfield coat and his collection of silk ties and cravats were all sold.<\/p>\n<p>Sir Roger&#8217;s &#8216;extensively used&#8217; British passport, valid from 1991-2001 was estimated to sell for \u00a32,000-3,000 but reached \u00a312,200.<\/p>\n<p>His family have said that a portion of the proceeds will go to UNICEF, for which Sir Roger was a long-time ambassador.<\/p>\n<p>Sir Roger, who was also known for his roles in The Saint and The Persuaders, appeared as Bond in seven films in the 1970s and 80s.
