Jonnie Irwin revealed he has spent much of his time in an oxygen chamber during his ongoing battle with cancer.<\/p>\n

The former A Place In The Sun presenter took to Instagram and said he is currently sitting in the chamber while watching Netflix.<\/p>\n

The 49-year-old told his 224,000 followers about the health benefits, writing: “I can\u2019t tell you how happy I am with the Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber lent to me by @o2worx. It\u2019s great for people with my condition but also for recovery from injuries and general wellness. I\u2019m not gonna preach but if you\u2019re interested Google it – you\u2019ll be surprised!<\/p>\n

“This chamber is perfect for me, no feelings of claustrophobia and it\u2019s just big enough to get my favourite comfy chair in it!<\/p>\n

“I actually look forward to each session knowing that\u2019s it\u2019s doing me good whilst being able to do a bit of work (watching Netflix shhh!) I\u2019m currently in it now!”<\/p>\n

The dad of three purchased the oxygen chamber which he keeps in his home as he shared a series of photos while inside therapy unit.<\/p>\n

One photo showed Jonnie relaxed while sat on his favourite brown leather chair whilethe second snap was of the chamber unit which is shaped like a tent.<\/p>\n

A third snap showed him wearing an oxygen mask while inside the unit which involves breathing 100 per cent (pure) oxygen while in a special space called a hyperbaric chamber.<\/p>\n

The air pressure inside is raised to a level that is higher than normal air pressure. The increased air pressure in the chamber helps the lungs collect more oxygen.<\/p>\n

Celebrity pals and fans alike reacted to the post, as Lucy Alexander penned: “Brilliant.”<\/p>\n

A social media user quipped: “That\u2019s an extreme way to get out of the washing up!”<\/p>\n

A third wrote: “I’ve noticed that you are looking good in recent posts Jonnie. Keep it up,” while a fourth echoed: “Somethings working dude, you’re looking well.”<\/p>\n

Another added: “So happy you\u2019re not feeling claustrophobic in this and spreading the word.”<\/p>\n

The Escape to the County presenter has been raising awareness for lung cancer with the support of his wife Jessica, aged 40, and their three sons four-year-old Rex, and three-year-old twin boys named Rafa and Cormac.<\/p>\n

He first revealed he had been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in November 2022.<\/p>\n

The presenter has been documenting his health journey on social media and has been inundated with support.<\/p>\n
