WITH the summer now a distant memory, it\u2019s time to start thinking about ways to dry your clothes without being able to stick them on the washing line.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

And while a tumble dryer can quickly resolve the problem, with energy bills currently sky-high, it\u2019s not the most cost effective method around.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But one savvy home whizz has clarified the \u201cbest way\u201d to dry your clothes without using a tumble dryer \u2013 and the best part is, it costs only 11p an hour to run.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Posting in the Facebook group Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips, an anonymous<\/span> member asked for recommendations as to the \u201cbest way to dry clothes indoors without a tumble dryer\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Her posts quickly racked up 80 comments with helpful fans weighing in with their best suggestions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And the most recommended solution was a dehumidifier: an appliance that sucks moisture out of the air in your home.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to one group member, the appliance is \u201cperfect for drying\u201d, and makes clothes feel \u201cjust as soft as a tumble dryer\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Another shared a snap<\/span> of the dehumidifier they\u2019d recently purchased, adding: \u201ccan\u2019t believe how much water it\u2019s pulling out of the air in my dining room where I dry clothes\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And the best bit is that the appliance is a fabulously cost-effective alternative to energy-guzzling dryers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One group member confirmed that their dehumidifier costs \u201cless than 11p an hour to run\u201d, while according to another expert, the most efficient can cost just 5p an hour.\u00a0<\/p>\n
