opposite \u00a31k-a-night Hilton hotel<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>It is not the first time a tent city has sprung up on the exclusive London road<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A large enclave of tents has sprung up in a makeshift camp on London&#8217;s Park Lane directly opposite a Hilton hotel which charges as much as \u00a31,000 per night for a room.<\/p>\n<p>Photos appear to show a group of people living on a green area close to some of the UK&#8217;s most luxurious venues, using tents, metal barriers and wooden pallets to protect themselves from the muddy ground.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday some of those living in the area were pictured getting up from their slumber and preparing for the day, including multiple women with pushchairs and young men.<\/p>\n<p>Around a dozen tents have appeared opposite the hotel, in an echo of previous campsites which have angered locals.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/27\/18\/77090001-12680469-image-a-24_1698426859141.jpg\" height=\"497\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The scene on Park Lane pictured on Friday after tents height=\"446\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Pushchairs suggest that young children might be among those living in the area<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/27\/18\/77089973-12680469-image-a-26_1698427044922.jpg\" height=\"845\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The site is opposite the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, which costs as much as \u00a31,000 per night<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/27\/18\/77089989-12680469-image-a-22_1698426589975.jpg\" height=\"415\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Some tents are pitched on wooden pallets to protect them from the wet ground<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/27\/18\/77089977-12680469-image-a-27_1698427098828.jpg\" height=\"387\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Most are covered in black tarpaulins in an attempt to protect those inside from the elements<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" people have been living on Park Lane, or how many of them there are<\/p>\n<p>It is not the first time groups have set up camp in the exclusive Mayfair area: in June,\u00a0traveller Aurel Roman and his partner Larisa erected a giant tent on a grass verge in the centre of a Mayfair dual carriageway.<\/p>\n<p>And in 2021, a camp on Park Lane that\u00a0was linked to a rise in crime and anti-social behaviour was torn down &#8211; seven years after it was erected.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear exactly how long the current group of people have been living on Park Lane, or how many of them there are.<\/p>\n<p>It appears they have set up various camping tables to use and store belongings on, as well as using heavy black tarpaulins to protect their tents from the elements.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The
