ALDI has released its Willy Wonka-inspired Christmas advert and a fan-favourite character is back.<\/p>\n
Kevin the carrot has made his much-anticipated TV return today, as supermarket\u00a0Aldi\u00a0launches its 2023 Christmas ad.<\/p>\n

This time, he's paying a visit to William Conker's magical Christmas factory.<\/p>\n
The ad opens with the five lucky winners excitedly waiting to enter the magical Christmas factory.<\/p>\n
Accompanied by grate grandpa, Kevin embarks on his tour of the festive goodie-filled factory, encountering all sorts of mischievous characters on the way including dancing plumty-dumptys and a spoilt little sprout.<\/p>\n
With the other lucky winners including\u00a0'greedy, gluttonous grape' and\u00a0'naughty green kiwi' each landing themselves in bother and falling away, Kevin is finally the last carrot standing.<\/p>\n
Upon passing the test and being handed the\u00a0'cheese'\u00a0to the factory, Kevin asks the wholesome question –\u00a0"Can I share my good fortune with everyone?".<\/p>\n The ad concludes with the charming closing message "Seasonal goodwill was truly in the air as Christmas is a time that's sweeter when you share\u2019"\u00a0accompanied by a cheerful crowd of characters from\u00a0Aldi's Christmas past, including Ebanana Scrooge and Marcus Raddishford.<\/p>\n Jemma Townsend, marketing director at\u00a0Aldi\u00a0UK, said:\u00a0"Christmas is made magical by coming together and sharing the joy of celebration even in tough times- just like Kevin wants to with his Christmas wish.<\/p>\n "It wouldn't be the festive season without Kevin the carrot on our TV screens.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n "We know our shoppers will love seeing him getting into the Christmas spirit as we welcome him back for his eighth year with us."<\/p>\n It comes just days after Aldi teased shoppers with a new trailer for its Christmas advert.<\/p>\n But Kevin didn't appear in Aldi's teaser advert leaving some viewers worried he might have been given the chop.<\/p>\n Last year, the discounter's Christmas advert was a\u00a0nod to festive film Home Alone.<\/p>\n It followed the character Kevin battling burglars after being left alone when the rest of his family went abroad.<\/p>\n Aldi isn't the only supermarket getting in on the Christmas action.<\/p>\n Asda's amusing Christmas advert tease\u00a0features one of the world's most iconic jazz and soul singers Michael Buble.<\/p>\n Meanwhile,\u00a0M&S has revealed its Christmas food advert\u00a0for this year, featuring a star-studded cast of actors.<\/p>\n Lidl has revealed its Christmas advert\u00a0and unlike competitors, the supermarket has chosen to focus on a good cause.<\/p>\n Elsewhere,\u00a0Waitrose's Christmas advert features festive moments\u00a0we can all relate to \u2013 and it stars a beloved chat show host.<\/p>\n<\/picture>CARROT CHOPPED? <\/span><\/p>\n
