{"id":144876,"date":"2023-11-06T15:28:44","date_gmt":"2023-11-06T15:28:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebritywshow.com\/?p=144876"},"modified":"2023-11-06T15:28:44","modified_gmt":"2023-11-06T15:28:44","slug":"palestinian-activist-once-supported-by-corbyn-arrested-in-israel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebritywshow.com\/world-news\/palestinian-activist-once-supported-by-corbyn-arrested-in-israel\/","title":{"rendered":"Palestinian activist once supported by Corbyn arrested in Israel"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Palestinian activist once supported by Jeremy Corbyn is arrested in Israel for &#8216;inciting violence and urging the &#8220;slaughter&#8221; of Israelis, referring to Hitler&#8217;<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ahed Tamimi was previously convicted in 2018 for slapping an Israeli soldier<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A young Palestinian activist once supported by former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn and other senior left-wing politicians has allegedly launched a vile attack calling for the &#8216;slaughter&#8217; of Israelis.<\/p>\n<p>Ahed Tamimi, 22, was arrested by the Israelis today after posted an appalling anti-Semitic attack on Instagram, recalling the Holocaust and telling Jewish settlers: &#8216;What Hitler did to you was a picnic&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Her rant in Hebrew read: &#8216;Our message to the herds of settlers &#8212; we are waiting for you in all the West Bank cities from Hebron to Jenin.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We will slaughter you and you will say that what Hitler did to you was a picnic.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We will drink your blood and eat the skulls of as many as we like. Come on, we are waiting for you.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/06\/14\/77460085-12715913-image-a-66_1699281198864.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi speaks during an interview in Ramallah, West Bank on May 16, 2021<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/06\/14\/77459209-12715913-image-a-54_1699280283937.jpg\" height=\"385\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Video showed Tamimi, then 17, slapping an Israeli soldier &#8211; for which she was sentenced to eight months in prison<\/p>\n<p>When aged 16, Tamimi shot to international prominence after slapping and kicking an Israeli soldier during a protest outside her house in Nabi Salih on the West Bank and became a heroine of the Palestinian resistance.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Tamimi family, during the protest Ahed&#8217;s 15-year-old cousin Mohammed Tamimi was shot in the head at close range with a rubber-coated steel bullet, severely wounding him.<\/p>\n<h3>READ MORE:\u00a0Palestinian girl, 17, is sentenced to eight months in prison after she was filmed kicking and slapping Israeli soldiers\u00a0<\/h3>\n<p>In response, Tamimi, along with her mother and cousin Nour, approached the two soldiers outside the Tamimi home, and were filmed slapping, kicking, and shoving them; the soldiers did not retaliate.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018 she was convicted on four counts of assaulting an IDF officer and soldier, incitement, and interference with IDF forces, and sentenced to eight months in prison and eight months of probation.<\/p>\n<p>Then Labour leader Corbyn condemned the jailing of children and called for her release.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019 she led a pro-Palestine march in London, and Mr Corbyn again offered his support, saying: &#8216;We cannot stand by or stay silent at the continuing denial of rights and justice to the Palestinian people&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Tamimi was joined on the march by Labour left-wing MPs Diane Abbott and Richard Burgon.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Tamimi, who studied English before starting a course in International Law at Birzeit University in Ramallah, told the crowd: &#8216;I want to thank you all. It was your voice that kept me strong while being in the Israeli prison.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I want to thank you for your support and solidarity, for everything that you are doing to advocate our cause.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Ms Abbott tweeted in 2018: &#8216;Labour&#8217;s challenge? Pictured: Tamimi during the trial<\/p>\n<p>In Israeli-annexed east Jerusalem, a female Israeli soldier was &#8216;critically&#8217; wounded this morning in a knife attack before border police shot dead the 16-year-old attacker.<\/p>\n<p>Following her arrest, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir posted on Facebook congratulating the IDF for arresting her.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Kudos to the IDF and the rest of the security forces who arrested the terrorist and &#8216;human rights activist.<\/p>\n<p>Ehad Tamimi Manbi Saleh, who was previously convicted of attacking IDF soldiers and since the outbreak of the war, has expressed sympathy and support for the Nazi human beings on social media,&#8217; he wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Zero tolerance with terrorists and supporters of terrorism!
