STAR Wars C-3PO actor Anthony Daniels is auctioning his memorabilia from the films \u2014 with the droid\u2019s gold helmet tipped to fetch up to \u00a31million.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anthony, who featured in all nine films of the main saga plus spin-offs, is selling almost 200 items including scripts, props and costumes.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

C-3PO\u2019s helmet which he wore in the first film in 1977 with droid pal R2-D2 will be the biggest money-maker.<\/p>\n

Also among the lots are pairs of C-3PO\u2019s hands and feet, both estimated to go for up to \u00a330,000, and two of the droid\u2019s fingers for \u00a310,000.<\/p>\n

Anthony, 77, said he was looking forward to finding a good home for the treasures. <\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI realised I had these items and they\u2019re not unloved but they are unlooked at. <\/p>\n

"We don\u2019t have them crowding the sitting room. <\/p>\n

"Will I feel sad to part with them? No. I will enjoy the fact people will cherish and display them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hertfordshire-based auctioneers Propstore began selling his lots, including the helmet, late last night.<\/p>\n

Bidding was fierce for other film memborabilia at the sale, with Harrison Ford\u2019s bullwhip from Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom going for \u00a3230,000.<\/p>\n
