<\/p>\nBeau Greaves stormed to her first-ever win at the Grand Slam of Darts as her opponent \u2018snapped\u2019 and goaded the crowd.<\/p>\n
After pushing World Matchplay champion Nathan Aspinall all the way in a narrow defeat on the opening night of the tournament, the women\u2019s darts sensation put German Ricardo Pietreczko to the sword, winning 5-1. With the the Wolverhampton crowd firmly on Greaves\u2019 side, Pietreczko was regularly booed as he stepped up to throw.<\/p>\n
At one stage in the fourth leg, as he trailed 3-0, the 29-year-old gave a bit back. After hitting a 180, he celebrated aggressively and then cupped his ears in the direction of the fans.<\/p>\n

On Sky Sports commentary, Stuart Pike felt it wasn\u2019t a wise move to taunt the crowd and said Pietreczko had \u201csnapped\u201d. He did restore a little pride by pulling a leg back but Greaves was too strong on the day as she kept her chances of reaching the knockout stage alive.<\/p>\n
Speaking after the match, the teenager from Doncaster said: \u201cWhat a feeling. I played really well. I can\u2019t explain it, it\u2019s just great to get over the line. I\u2019m as happy as anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cIf I\u2019m relaxed, I play well. I\u2019ve got another game to go yet but I\u2019m really enjoying it. That's when I play my best darts, when I\u2019m relaxed.\u201d<\/p>\n
Greaves\u2019 final group match is against Damon Heta, with the winner joining Aspinall in the first knockout round.<\/p>\n

Asked what it would mean to her to get through to the last 16, she coolly said: \u201cYou know what, I\u2019m not bothered. I\u2019m just not bothered because I\u2019m a young girl, dipping my toes into this sort of stuff. It\u2019s just nice to get up on stage and feel comfortable and relaxed. I\u2019m looking forward to that game on Tuesday.\u201d<\/p>\n
