EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy has shared the latest details on her plans for a wedding with her fiancé Marc Humphreys, eight years after they first got engaged.

The soap actress has explained the reasons for why the pair are still waiting to tie the knot, and suggested a day of low-key nuptials is likely on the cards.

Natalie, 40, has been engaged to cameraman Marc since 2015, and the pair share daughter Joanie, seven. The actress is also a mum to daughter Eliza, 12, from a previous relationship.

Natalie and Marc first started dating in 2014, after they met on the Albert Square set, but while the couple initially progressed fast in their relationship, that hasn't been the case for getting married.

Addressing the questions during her latest appearance on Loose Women today, 7 November, the mum-of-two laughed that she knows she needs to "get round to it".

What's more, if she and her husband-to-be do eventually tie the knot, she thinks it'll most likely be in their local pub surrounded by close friends and family only.

"[Weddings are] really expensive, when you've got children everything is expensive," the actress explained to the panel, which included Ruth Langsford, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street Porter.

"We just need to get round to it, we just need to it," the star went on. "I've thought about a big wedding and loads of people but I think when we do it, it will be down the road.

"In the pub, with all our friends and family, just get it done," Natalie added.

The actress's latest mention of her wedding plans comes after she told OK! in an exclusive interview that part of the reason she and Marc have deferred their special day is because she's "indecisive".

"One minute I want a great big wedding, the next minute I think we could just go somewhere really easy. I'm very indecisive," she admitted.

Despite that, the couple still make sure they focus on having romance and time just the two of them without the kids involved.

"Life can take over, kids can take over, and before you know it, you've had no time together on your own," Natalie reflected.

"You need to make time for romance. If it slips and we think we haven't done anything nice for a month, we do bring it up.

"He's better than me actually. He'll bring it up more. We both fancy the pants off each other still, which is a good thing.

"But at some point I do think we’ll get our close family together at a lovely place in London, go to a restaurant and have a big party afterwards," the star then added.
