A FORMER Chelsea star has warned them against signing "Fifa player" Jadon Sancho.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We revealed how Manchester United are set to offload the winger, 23, once Sir Jim Ratcliffe completes his \u00a31.3billion buy-in for a 25 per cent stake in the Red Devils.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

Sancho has been axed from United\u2019s WhatsApp group after already being barred from training with the senior side or using any of their facilities, including the canteen.<\/p>\n

He was outcasted after a\u00a0stand-off that started when he was left out of the squad for September\u2019s 3-1 loss at Arsenal.<\/p>\n

Boss Erik ten Hag said his training was not up to standard when quizzed on his absence afterwards, but Sancho posted on social media in response: \u201cI will not allow people saying things that are completely untrue, I conducted myself in training very well this week.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even though the England ace, whose last cap came over two years ago, deleted the post, Ten Hag called for an apology that never came.<\/p>\n

Both staff and team-mates urged Sancho \u2014 who joined from Borussia Dortmund for \u00a373m in July 2021 \u2014 to back down but he has refused.<\/p>\n

Now United are desperate to offload the star, who managed a mere three Premier League appearances this season before the row, as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

Chelsea are one of the clubs believed to be plotting a swoop for Sancho once the January transfer window opens.<\/p>\n

However, Glen Johnson, who won the Prem title and League Cup during his four years at Stamford Bridge, has delivered a stern warning to his old employers over a potential move.<\/p>\n

And the 39-year-old ex-England full-back also stated that he believes Sancho is no more than a \u201cFifa player\u201d.<\/p>\n

Johnson told Betfred: \u201cI think it\u2019s a move they should definitely avoid.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has been at Manchester United for a long time and I can\u2019t recall a time where he's played three games or more in a row.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re not doing it at Manchester United, when you have more established and senior players in the dressing room that can kick you into shape, you\u2019re not going to do it at Chelsea either.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since Todd Boehly took over the club last year, Chelsea have embarked on splashing the cash on younger players on long-term deals that they hope will flourish over the coming years.<\/p>\n

However, Johnson also believes that Sancho\u2019s potential arrival could affect the youthful squad.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cIf he goes to Chelsea where it\u2019s a young dressing room, he\u2019s going to get away with murder and he could potentially get worse.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe kid has clearly got some ability, but there\u2019s something wrong, whether it\u2019s his attitude or his work rate, I\u2019m not sure.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is more a Fifa player than a player for a big team in my opinion.\u201d<\/p>\n
