EastEnders fans are used to seeing actor Roger Griffiths as Mitch Baker in the long-running BBC soap.

Fan favourite Mitch didn't have the best start at family life, failing to stick around for his kids Chantelle and Keegan with partner Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley). However, the character has redeemed himself over the years, becoming more of a dad and learning to become more responsible with the introduction of his youngest daughter Bailey when her mum Dinah passed away.

Mitch has since become a well-loved part of life in Albert Square since 2018, winning himself fans thanks to his bromance with Mick Carter and his loving relationship with ex-girlfriend Karen.

Roger's EastEnders daughter Jessica Plummer, who played Chantelle Atkins in the soap, heaped praise on him during a chat with WhatToWatch following her exit. The I'm A Celebrity star admitted that Roger made her job easier with his emotive acting method.

She said: "Roger always finds a way to connect with your character. He waits until shooting to add colour to lines, in terms of seeing what the other actor does, and he'll react to that. It really helps, as you have to be present, and let the other person's feelings and emotions affect you. He's great."
