Foo Fighters<\/b> frontman Dave Grohl<\/b> recently released an extended live version of his 23-minute long instrumental, “Play.”<\/p>\n
The live performance was recorded at Warren Haynes<\/b>‘ 30th Annual Christmas Jam benefit concerts, which took place on December 7 and 8, 2018 in Asheville, North Carolina. <\/p>\n
The video documents the track’s live debut and serves as the first-ever official live recording of the instrumental.<\/p>\n
The live version of the performance sees Grohl back behind the drum kit and joined by multi-platinum producer Greg Kurstin<\/b> on keyboards, Beck<\/b> sessionist Jason Falkner<\/b>, Them Crooked Vultures<\/b>‘ Alain Johannes<\/b>, Barrett Jones<\/b>, Jane’s Addiction<\/b>‘s Chris Chaney<\/b> on bass, Drew Hester<\/b> on percussion, and Asheville-based busker and street-performance advocate Abby the Spoon Lady<\/b>.<\/p>\n
