{"id":146238,"date":"2023-12-16T09:25:57","date_gmt":"2023-12-16T09:25:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebritywshow.com\/?p=146238"},"modified":"2023-12-16T09:25:57","modified_gmt":"2023-12-16T09:25:57","slug":"im-a-psychiatrist-and-these-are-the-common-techniques-used-by-liars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebritywshow.com\/lifestyle\/im-a-psychiatrist-and-these-are-the-common-techniques-used-by-liars\/","title":{"rendered":"I&apos;m a psychiatrist and these are the common techniques used by liars"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1> I&#8217;m a psychiatrist and these are the common techniques used by liars to conceal deceit<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Forensic psychiatrist Dr Sohom Das outlines some of tell-tale signs of deception<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>READ MORE:\u00a0Therapist&#8217;s phenomenal mindset hack will stop you overthinking in seconds: &#8216;Everything went quiet&#8217;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>How can you tell if you&#8217;re being told the truth, or are simply being fed a very convincing lie?<\/p>\n<p>Some people can be frighteningly good at doling out deception and it might feel almost impossible to tell the truth from fiction &#8211; but one expert says there are some surefire ways to spot a deceit.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>London-based forensic psychiatrist Dr Sohom Das, 44, has a YouTube channel called\u00a0A Psych for Sore Minds, where he covers a range of mental health and crime-related topics.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The NHS doctor&#8217;s broadcasts see him discuss what he&#8217;s learned from some of the cases that he&#8217;s encountered, with one episode focusing on &#8216;<span>common cues of deception&#8217;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/12\/09\/78860275-12853903-image-a-1_1702374065728.jpg\" height=\"408\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>A forensic scientist has lifted the lid on how to spot a liar in the midst; but admits deceptive cues can vary &#8211; and often be super subtle (stock image)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/12\/09\/67380079-12853903-Dr_Sohom_Das_pictured_is_a_London_based_forensic_psychiatrist_wh-a-2_1702374117081.jpg\" height=\"869\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Dr Sohom Das (pictured) is a London-based forensic psychiatrist who also makes YouTube content on his channel A Psych for Sore Minds<\/p>\n<p>In the video,\u00a0Dr Das outlines a few key signs to look out for that might mean someone&#8217;s not telling you the truth.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Just looking shifty might be a sign, he explains, saying: &#8216;generally speaking, liars look more anxious&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Press for facts too, he advises, because liars will often seem less certain about the detail, going for broad stroke info instead.<\/p>\n<p>And thirdly, Dr Das says that liars &#8216;generally won&#8217;t correct themselves with little details&#8217; &#8211; they&#8217;ll stick to their story and won&#8217;t deviate.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"This Is How You Tell Somebody Is LYING!
