{"id":146385,"date":"2023-12-20T17:52:14","date_gmt":"2023-12-20T17:52:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebritywshow.com\/?p=146385"},"modified":"2023-12-20T17:52:14","modified_gmt":"2023-12-20T17:52:14","slug":"horrifying-moment-brazil-woman-falls-from-mini-ferris-wheel-and-dies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebritywshow.com\/world-news\/horrifying-moment-brazil-woman-falls-from-mini-ferris-wheel-and-dies\/","title":{"rendered":"Horrifying moment Brazil woman falls from mini Ferris wheel and dies"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 class=\"withoutBlobs--dkFi0\">Horrifying moment Brazil woman, 49, falls off of a mini Ferris wheel, slams into an iron bar and dies in front of shocked onlookers<\/h1>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<p>Disturbing video footage captured the moment a woman suffered a deadly fall from Ferris wheel at a restaurant in Brazil on Sunday<\/p>\n<p>Maria do Carmo could be seen sitting on one of the ride&#8217;s metal bench and talking to a group on the ground when a man spun the manually operated amusement ride.<\/p>\n<p>The 49-year-old subsequently fell face down and hit her chest against one of the wheel&#8217;s iron bars.<\/p>\n<p>After her fall, do Carmo went into cardiac arrest and received emergency assistance from a nursing technician, who was nearby.<\/p>\n<p>The fire department arrived on the scene, used a defibrillator and performed CPR in an attempt to resuscitate her before paramedics pronounced her dead.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/20\/15\/79174415-12885775-image-m-7_1703087726864.jpg\" height=\"530\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Maria do Carmo was died after falling off a manually operated Ferris wheel at a restaurant in Minas Gerais, Brazil on Sunday<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/20\/15\/79174407-12885775-image-m-9_1703087774705.jpg\" height=\"872\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Maria do Carmo is seen sitting on a metal bench at the top of the Ferris wheel before a man (bottom left) spun the amusement ride, which was designed to hold children between the ages of 5 and 10<\/p>\n<p><span>Authorities shut down access to the Ferris wheel, which is located in a restaurant playground.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Ferris wheel area has a sign that indicates that it is only accessible for people between the ages of 5 and 10.<\/p>\n<p>Iury Vieira, one of the restaurant&#8217;s owners, told Brazilian news outlet G1 that each Ferris wheel bench had a safety lock and another device to prevent falls, but only for children.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant has been open for nine years and has a valid operating license and permit that was issued by the fire department.<\/p>\n<p>However, the fire department said it was not their duty to inspect the Ferris wheel.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/20\/15\/79174399-12885775-image-a-5_1703087586271.jpg\" height=\"726\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Authorities in Minas Gerais, Brazil, have shut off access to the manual Ferris wheel. One of the owners of the restaurant where the amusement ride is located acknowledged that they did not have a permit to operate it<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/20\/16\/79176769-12885775-image-m-13_1703088198631.jpg\" height=\"794\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Maria do Carmo (top) went into cardiac arrest and died moments after falling from the Ferris wheel<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/20\/16\/79174411-12885775-image-m-11_1703088032807.jpg\" height=\"744\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Maria do Carmo is seen falling from a Ferris wheel at a restaurant children&#8217;s playground in Brazil<\/p>\n<p>Lieutenant Matheus Viol said the restaurant&#8217;s owners and its technical manager were liable for ensuring that the Ferris wheel was inspected by the Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy of Minas Gerais.<\/p>\n<p>Vieira acknowledged that they did not have an operating license for the Ferris wheel and the playground.<\/p>\n<p>He was unloading merchandise into the restaurant and his father was at the cashier register when do Cormo suffered the deadly fall.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We didn&#8217;t really see the fact, of her actually falling off wheel,&#8217; Vieira said. &#8216;A guy was with her and called me into the restaurant.
