THE Muppet Christmas Carol has been a festive favourite for the last 30 years.<\/p>\n

Sadly, the Muppet Christmas<\/span> Carol movie is not scheduled for TV over Christmas 2023.<\/p>\n
The festive favourite – which was released in 1993 – gives the Muppets' take on the famous Charles Dickens classic.<\/p>\n
Characters include Kermit The Frog as Bob Cratchit, and Miss Piggy playing his wife.<\/p>\n
Other Muppet favourites who pop up include Rizzo The Rat, and Gonzo.<\/p>\n

Meredith Braun was just 19-years old when she was Belle in The Muppet Christmas Carol.<\/p>\n

Frank Oz played multiple Muppet characters, including Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and Animal.<\/p>\n

In 2017, he was\u00a0sacked by Muppet bosses\u00a0after playing the green character for 27 years.<\/p>\n
At the time, the puppeteer said he was heartbroken, and felt like he had \u201cfailed\u201d his mentor Jim Henson, who originated Kermit.<\/p>\n
Dave Goelz played many different roles in The Muppet Christmas Carol.<\/p>\n
This included Gonzo the Great, Dr Bunsen Honeydew, Waldorf – following Henson\u2019s death – and Zoot.<\/p>\n
Dave has actually now played Gonzo for almost 50 years, having created the character when he joined the Jim Henson Company in 1976.<\/p>\n
Jerry Nelson took on the role of the Ghost of Christmas Present in the Muppet Christmas Carol.<\/p>\n
However,he was more well-known as the full-time voice of Count von Count from Sesame Street.<\/p>\n
On August 23, 2012, he sadly died from complications of his illness, at the age of 78.\u00a0<\/p>\n
David Rudman also played multiple characters.<\/p>\n
