Here is how you can watch the Charles Dickens classic this Christmas.<\/p>\n

Sadly, the Muppet Christmas<\/span> Carol movie is not scheduled for TV over Christmas 2023.<\/p>\n The festive favourite – which was released in 1993 – gives the Muppets' take on the famous Charles Dickens classic.<\/p>\n Characters include Kermit The Frog as Bob Cratchit, and Miss Piggy playing his wife.<\/p>\n Other Muppet favourites who pop up include Rizzo The Rat, and Gonzo.<\/p>\n The Muppet Christmas Carol is available to watch on multiple streaming services,<\/p>\n It is free to stream for those with a Disney+ subscription.<\/p>\n You can also buy and stream the film from\u00a0Amazon\u00a0for \u00a311.99. <\/p>\n This will mean you can re-watch it every year without fail<\/span>.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n Michael Caine plays the lead character Ebenezer Scrooge.<\/p>\n Since playing Scrooge in The Muppet Christmas Carol, he\u2019s been in everything from Austin Powers and Miss Congeniality to Inception and The Dark Knight.<\/p>\n The famous British actor is probably best known for the phrase ,\u201cYou're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!" in the iconic film The Italian Job.<\/p>\n Steven Mackintosh\u00a0played Scrooge\u2019s nephew Fred<\/span>.<\/p>\n He went on to play Richard Garland in\u00a0The Halcyon.<\/p>\n The actor has also had roles in Kick-Ass 2, The Sweeney,\u00a0Luther\u00a0and Lock, Stock And Two Smoking<\/span> Barrels.<\/p>\n Ray Coulthard played a young Ebenezer Scrooge in The Muppet Christmas Carol.<\/p>\n He has since gone on to star in lots of TV shows like Hotel Babylon, and Emma.<\/p>\n Fans may also recognise him from playing Alasdair Sinclair in\u00a0Emmerdale.\u00a0<\/p>\n Robin Weaver was Clara in the puppet caper.<\/p>\n Most famously, she went on to play Simon\u2019s mum Pamela Cooper in\u00a0The Inbetweeners.<\/p>\n Robin also starred in The Catherine Tate Show and Black Mirror.<\/p>\n Meredith Braun was just 19-years old when she was Belle in The Muppet Christmas Carol.<\/p>\n The actress is now a West End star, and has enjoyed an incredible career.<\/p>\n She is famed for playing the lead role of Christine in The Phantom Of The Opera<\/span>.<\/p>\n Frank Oz played multiple Muppet characters, including Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and Animal.<\/p>\n He was also a big part of Sesame Street – another of Jim Henson\u2019s creations.<\/p>\n On the hit kids show he played the Cookie Monster, Bert and Grover.<\/p>\n The voice<\/span> of the mum-loved Kermit the Frog was played by Steve Whitmire.<\/p>\n In 2017, he was\u00a0sacked by Muppet bosses\u00a0after playing the green character for 27 years.<\/p>\n At the time, the puppeteer said he was heartbroken, and felt like he had \u201cfailed\u201d his mentor Jim Henson, who originated Kermit.<\/p>\n Dave Goelz played many different roles in The Muppet Christmas Carol.<\/p>\n This included Gonzo the Great, Dr Bunsen Honeydew, Waldorf – following Henson\u2019s death – and Zoot.<\/p>\n Dave has actually now played Gonzo for almost 50 years, having created the character when he joined the Jim Henson Company in 1976.<\/p>\n Jerry Nelson took on the role of the Ghost of Christmas Present in the Muppet Christmas Carol.<\/p>\n However,he was more well-known as the full-time voice of Count von Count from Sesame Street.<\/p>\n On August 23, 2012, he sadly died from complications of his illness, at the age of 78.\u00a0<\/p>\n David Rudman also played multiple characters.<\/p>\nREAD MORE ON CHRISTMAS FILMS<\/h2>\n
