There’s nothing better than finding a perfume that smells fantastic and is affordable enough to wear every day, and Christina Aguilera’s latest offering to the fragrance world manages to do just that.
The singer’s brand new Christina Aguilera Xtina Eau De Parfum, £13 here, is the perfect scent as we head into autumn thanks to its combination of woody, fruity and floral fragrances, and it comes with an ultra affordable price tag too.
This isn’t Christina’s first foray into fragrances, as she’s released multiple perfumes over the years, including Christina Aguilera Eau de Parfum, £11.50 here (was £23), Definition, £15 here, and Violet Noir, £14.54 here, to name just a few, but her latest release is the first to include her iconic nickname.
Xtina’s newest perfume is inspired by her “fiery and fearless journey to move, explore and transform,” and is “An intimate nod to her nickname, personal jewellery, and signature red,” with its feminine and daring scent.
With fresh, vibrant top notes of sparkling raspberry, blackcurrant and bosc pear, you’re instantly hit with a sharp, fruity aroma before the floral-based mid notes kick in.
Jasmine absolut, sugared rose petals and violet leaf give the Christina Aguilera Xtina Eau De Parfum, £13 here, a sweet aromatic scent that lasts on the skin, whilst the base notes are all about earthy tones with patchouli, oakmoss, amber and musk which stop it from being too light and help make it the perfect autumn. fragrance
Even the bottle hasn’t missed out on the Christina touch, as it was inspired by her signature jewellery with a red tone-on-tone design and silver chain with a small circular disc pendant wrapped around the neck of the bottle.
The bottle also has a die-cut etched red X at the back, which creates an optical illusion as you turn the bottle.
The Christina Aguilera Xtina Eau De Parfum, £13 here, officially launched on September 7 in the UK, and although it has an RRP of £26, the is currently 50% off for a limited time on the Superdrug website, making it just £13 for a 30ml bottle.
Xtina isn’t the only celeb to have released their latest perfume recently, as Ariana Grande’s long-awaited Cloud Pink, £53 here, came out just a day earlier on September 6.
A follow up to her hugely popular Cloud fragrance, £28 here (was £30), the updated Pink Cloud has a similar blend of smells to Xtina’s with woody amber and magenta moss combined with a rich berry and sparkling fruit fragrance that’s offset with floral notes.
