Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) has had a traumatic year, so it is no wonder that she ends up snapping at daughter Lily (Lillia Turner) in upcoming EastEnders scenes.
The single mother has been dealing with a stalker, and only recently discovered that Lily’s tutor Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) was the man behind the threats.
The truth was exposed in dramatic scenes as Lily went into labour, leaving Stacey fearing for her safety.
In upcoming scenes, Stacey will remain on high alert, and it will be Lily that faces the brunt of her stress.
‘She hasn’t had time to deal with any of her emotions towards the situation because she’s knows she needs to be strong for Lily,’ actress Lacey Turner revealed.

‘I think she’s running on autopilot. Lily and the baby are her main responsibility but underneath it all she’s struggling.’
When Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) approaches her at work, Stacey is left feeling terrible when he berates her after having found Lily and Ricky Mitchell (Frankie Day) messing around with baby Charli.
‘She’s already blaming herself for the situation with Theo because she feels guilty for bringing him into her families lives,’ Lacey explained.
‘Jack’s outburst feeds into those anxieties because she wants to prove that she can be in control, be responsible and keep her family safe.
‘All of that upset and stress from last week comes to a head and she finally snaps.’
Mortified after Jack’s accusations, Stacey furiously drags Lily home.
Lacey went on to reveal that her actions stem from feeling overprotective of Lily, after everything that has happened.
‘I think Stacey was always going to be hands on with Lily and the baby, but she’s even more overprotective than she would have been because she keeping all of those anxieties about Theo under wraps.
‘Stacey just wants to make sure that Lily is being supported, because she understands how daunting it all must be. Lily is still her baby so she wants to help in any way that she can to make sure that she isn’t overwhelmed.’
