EastEnders: Danielle Harold discusses her storyline
Former EastEnders star Danielle Harold is reportedly in talks to appear on the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here!
Just last week the 31-year-old won the Serial Drama Performance gong at the National Television Awards for her portrayal of Lola Pearce in the hit BBC One soap.
In heartbreaking scenes that aired in May her character succumbed to an inoperable brain tumour.
With the death of her character, Danielle is now free to pursue other projects and a source claims that her next stop could be Australia for the hugely popular reality show.
“Danielle is at the height of her career and in demand after her moving storyline on EastEnders, but she’s really caught the eye of ITV bosses to appear in the upcoming series of the jungle,” they reportedly told The Sun.

“As well as being a talented actress with a huge fanbase, Danielle has a fun personality with a wicked sense of humour, which makes her the ideal campmate for the show,” they said.
“It could propel her into superstardom at an exciting time in her acting journey. Conversations are under way and producers are trying to lure her with a lucrative deal.”
Express.co.uk contacted representatives for Danielle for comment and ITV who said: “Any names suggested for IAC are just speculation.”
The National Television Award was just the latest gong for Danielle’s heart wrenching performance.
She also won Best Leading Performer at the British Soap Awards in June and the Soap Actor award at the TRIC awards the same month.

Danielle was only 18 when she joined EastEnders in 2011 as the long-lost granddaughter of Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick).
In June 2022, it was reported Danielle had been called into a meeting where she was told her character was being axed.
The Sun claimed Danielle was left in tears when she heard Lola would be killed so there would be no chance to return.
Danielle was said to have been shocked by the news which was part of executive producer Chris Clenshaw’s plan to restructure the show.
The actress addressed her exit at the British Soap Awards, telling the Daily Star: “EastEnders has been such a big part of my life, but I can’t wait to start something new.”
