Naga Munchetty takes a cheeky swipe at Matt Tebbutt’s clothes
Naga Munchetty told Matt Tebbutt to “up his game” during BBC Breakfast today. The awkward moment saw the Saturday Kitchen host pulled up for his outfit choice by the presenter, 48, and Helen McGinn.
The latter was commended for her velvet ensemble for a Christmas installment of the culinary show, but the 49-year-old’s look did not impress. Naga made her feelings very clear during a live link between the two programmes, and it left Matt exclaiming: “Enough!”
After he remarked on the wine expert’s get-up, Helen stated: “I think you’ve got to up your game.” The chef laughed: “I know. I’ve only got a blue shirt in my wardrobe. So we’ll stick with this.”
Helen soon quipped: “OK we’ll have a whip round,” before they handed back to the news show. Naga then joined in: “Helen’s right, you really do need to up your sartorial game.”
“This is my look,” Matt retorted, sporting a navy poloshirt, with a pale collar. Seemingly rolling his eyes lightheartedly, he said: “Alright, enough!”

“Well, that told him!” sports presenter Mike Bushell said back in the studio.
Naga added: “Well Helen’s there in her beautiful velvet jumpsuit looking the part, and Matt is just in his normal blue shirt!
“And one of the chefs is in an elf outfit. It’s all about the outfit.”
The journalist looked chic in muted hues to host the morning offering alongside Charlie Stayt.

She teamed a black lace top, complete with high neckline, subtle pattern and cut-out detailing, with grey trousers.
Naga regularly teases Matt before handing over to his show at 10am on Saturdays.
It comes just days after she replied to a viewer on X, formerly Twitter, who called her out for a supposedly often-used phrase.
The user stated: “@TVNaga01 with respect, you consistently say ‘impossible to underestimate’ when you mean ‘impossible to overestimate’.
“I’m sorry. I’m a pedant. I correct erroneous apostrophes on blackboards too.”
Naga simply wrote back in view of her 277,000 followers: “Much appreciated x.”
