Kevin Clifton admits Layton’s Cha Cha was better than his
Strictly Come Dancing star Layton Williams didn’t just impress the judges with his history making Cha Cha Cha to Whitney Houston’s Million Dollar Bill on Saturday night’s show.
Former winner Kevin Clifton was also impressed by the West End star’s efforts on the show, which saw him and partner Nikita Kuzmin score the earliest 10 for the dance in the show’s history.
Analysing the dance during Choreography Corner on spin-off show Strictly: It Takes Two, Kevin’s sister Joanne gushed about his performance and then revealed: “My brother, he actually posted online and said Layton dances the Cha Cha better than me [Kevin].”
As host Fleur East laughed, Joanne acknowledged that she agreed.
Kevin, who won the show partnered with TV presenter Stacey Dooley in 2018, took to X, formerly known as Twitter on Saturday night to make the comment to his 254,700 followers.
