The body of a man who disappeared without a trace in Wales more than 10 years ago has finally been found, after human remains were discovered in a woodland.
Anthony Lewis, 64, from Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, was first reported missing on July 5 2012.
His abandoned car was found in Snowdonia a week later sparking a frantic police search to find him but tragically he could not be found.
The missing person case has remained a mystery for a decade until a member of the public found remains in a woodland near the village of Dolgarrog on 25 September, the BBC reported.
An inquest has since been opened at the County Hall in Ruthin by Kate Robertson – assistant coroner for North Wales East and Central.

The hearing heard that Mr Lewis was identified via dental records, according to reports in the Wrexham Leader.
The opening of his inquest heard that a pathologist’s provisional cause of Mr Lewis’ death was asphyxia due to inhalation of helium.
A full inquest has been adjourned to a later date.
