ASDA Christmas trailer teaser features Michael Bublé
ASDA has released its Christmas 2023 advert featuring Michael Bublé, who stars as the company’s Chief Quality Officer.
The highly-anticipated holiday-themed advert was first aired on Saturday, 4 November during The Voice UK on ITV.
The one-minute-30 advert was shot by Thor: Love and Thunder director and Oscar-winning filmmaker Taika Waititi and stars 48-year-old Michael.
The charming clip opens with the ‘Feeling Good’ singer announcing there was a “clean up on aisle five” before his assistant, Isaiah, revealed he had some Christmas products to approve.
He then enters a room filled with delicious food and fellow ASDA employees and states: “I heard somebody tried to push mackerel for Christmas dinner again this year… Barry”.

After Isaiah claims the supermarket chain staff need to “bring their best” the pair head down to the festive warehouse to expertly select cheese for the Extra Special Christmas Cheeseboard and give the green light on some truffle and parmesan pigs in blankets.
As well as tasting Pantone which is “studded with chocolate and candied orange” Michael heads down to the fashion house and claims that this year, the ASDA sequins “really pop”.
After eyeing up a manikin dapper suit, the singer helps a delivery driver stack his basket before the ad draws to a close.
One of his colleagues calls out: “Off for the night are you?” – to which Bublé declares he’s just getting started.

He then joins a store-front choir to sing his crescendo, ‘Walking in a Winter Wonderland’.
Speaking about his involvement in the advert, Michael said: “I love my relationship with the UK, and I’m the biggest fan of Christmas, so it was an honour to be asked to star in Asda’s Christmas advert this year.
“Adopting the role of Chief Quality Officer, I took my responsibility very seriously, ensuring all product met the highest possible standards – naturally ensuring I had the joy of personally sampling them all – from Black Tiger Tempura Prawns, Truffle and Parmesan Pigs in Blankets to chocolate and Orange Panettone.”
He added: “I believe Christmas is a time like no other, there’s a special feeling in the air, a little more magic to be found, and even more excuses to put on a show with great-tasting food.”
To celebrate the launch of ASDA’s Christmas campaign, the chain is inviting citizens of Britain to soak up some seasonal magic.
On November 16, the supermarket will install a showstopping 20ft Christmas tree, decorated with over 300 sparkling Michael Bublé-powered bulbs in Kings Cross Station.
Fans of the singer are invited to step up on the stage and give their best Buble rendition to watch it dance and dazzle with light.
