She has performed at Melbourne’s International Comedy Festival on 14 occasions, had her own Netflix special and went on to work with big names such as Rebel Wilson.
Cal’s bubbly personality and quick wit saw her being recruited for the baking show where she quickly became a fan favourite.
A close friend of Cal’s and comedian Damian Callinan explained that Cal and her family didn’t know until it was “too late”.
He told ABC Statewide Drive Victoria: “It was a short illness. It was a mystery illness, and they didn’t know what it was until it was too late, basically.”
