TIMES have been hard for wayward teen Lauren Bolton as she's tried to settle down in Weatherfield.
Things seem to get worse when she tells fellow Coronation Street residents about her new boyfriend. Is everything as it seems?
Lauren Bolton (played by Cait Fitton) has had great difficulty when trying to stick to the straight and narrow – and some residents still have a hard time trusting her after her chequered past.
Coming up next week on ITV, in the café, Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) is sick of Lauren being constantly on her phone.
When she later catches her at the precinct rather than her call centre job, a guilty Lauren makes out she swapped shifts.
Later on, Lauren presents her former boyfriend Max Turner (Paddy Bever) with a new watch to thank him for all he’s done for her.

Max is bowled over but worries that she’s spent too much while Lauren makes out she’s been given a promotion at the call centre.
In later scenes, Max's girlfriend Sabrina Adetiba (Luana Santos) corners Lauren and tells her she was out of order buying Max a watch.
She then firmly says that Lauren needs to stop playing games, well aware she could still be up to something.
Max returns the watch to Lauren and explains that it’s too generous a gift and he can’t accept it, unaware that a mildly suspicious Shona is listening to their conversation.

Back in the café, Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) tells Shona about the missing £80 from the till.
Shona confronts Lauren and accuses her of stealing the money to buy the watch and suspends her, leaving the teen horrified.
Lauren then tells Shona she doesn't need the job as she has a rich boyfriend.
But what is she hiding?
And who really is her boyfriend?
Lauren was once involved with Griff Reynolds' far-right group, which earned her a bad reputation.

She eventually had no other choice but to leave the cobbles and find refuge at her mother's once Griff was arrested.
But as viewers of the Manchester-based program will remember, she came back and appeared determined to get Max back.
Max rejected her, making it clear he had moved on with Sabrina, but he still tried to help her start afresh in Weatherfield – but this wasn't as easy as he'd hoped.
Could Lauren be putting herself in danger?
