Coronation Street's Stephanie Davis has teased an exciting new storyline for her character Courtney Vance on Coronation Street as her affair with Aadi Alahan is finally exposed.

During Tuesday’s (September 12) visit to the This Morning studios, Holly Willoughby and Dermot O’Leary welcomed viewers back to the signature blue sofa where they discussed some of the biggest news hitting the headlines.

The presenting duo welcomed the mum-of-two onto the show to discuss her future on the ITV cobbles following speculation surrounding her character’s investment in the Rovers Return.

When asked if she could see a future for herself on the show, the actor confessed that she would love to stay on the show because it has been a childhood “dream” of hers to play a role on the long-running soap.

Holly teased: "Before you go, have you added in the fact that she's [Stephanie's character Courtney] going to end up owning the Rover's Return?

"Because you posted a picture online of you pulling a pint and everybody went wild and people are saying she should be a businesswoman – I mean you look good!"

Stephanie couldn't help but blush as she said: "Thank you, it does look good doesn't it? I mean I could see myself being the landlady of the Rovers.

"To be honest there was a fan theory apparently that I did not know about and then I posted this photo and it just went wild but I think she'd be a good landlady."

Dermot excitedly added: "Listen never mind your 14-year-old manifestation [to star on the show], let's do some manifestation right now!"

It was at this point that Stephanie said: "I want to be the landlady of the Rovers" as the presenters cheered her on.

One user penned: "This is giving: 'Yes, c**k. What can I get yer?' vibes. And I'm here for it."

Another asked: "Are you the new landlady? [heart-eyes emoji]" as a third chimed in with: "Please say Courtney is going to save the Rovers!!!! [three applause emojis]."

Fans will have to stay tuned to see what will happen to her character once her secret gets out, and what that holds for her future on the show.
