'There's no need to buy a new outfit for Christmas!' Turn any dress into a festive number for just £3 with clever hack | The Sun

A SAVVY mum has shared a simple trick to turn any outfit into a festive showstopper.

Casey Major-Bunce took to social media to share her money-saving hack just in time for the festive season.

With many of us spending our hard-earned money on presents and Christmas food shops – a new Christmas outfit for ourselves is the last priority on our lists.

While you may have felt you need a whole new outfit for Christmas or New Year's Eve – you couldn't be more wrong.

The mum-of-two's clever hack will mean you can grab whatever you already have in your closet.

She said: "I'm going to turn this dress and these tights into a Christmas outfit for £3."

She took a gorgeous black dress and hung it up on the door frame.

But there was clearly some festive sparkle missing so Casey went in with a £3 glitter spray from Claire's.

"It doesn't transfer and it comes out easily in the wash," she added.

The dress now looked perfect for a Christmas or New Year's party and what's more is that the glitter can be used on loads of items.

The shimmer in a bottle also comes in gold and rainbow sparkles.
