NCIS Sydney preview feature on CBS and Paramount +
NCIS: Los Angeles may have ended earlier this year but finally fans of the franchise were treated to a brand new international spin-off in the form of NCIS: Sydney, which premiered on the streaming platform Paramount Plus on November 10.
The show set in Australia will be premiering in America on CBS on Tuesday, November 14.
NCIS: Sydney is comprised of eight episodes, which will be airing weekly and features a brand-new cast as the Australian Federal Police (AFP) is forced to team up with the members of NCIS.
Where is NCIS Sydney filmed?
NCIS Sydney is filmed on location in Sydney, Australia and various other locations around the city.
Home And Away alumni Todd Lasance, who plays AFP officer Jim ‘JD’ Dempsey in NCIS: Sydney, previously posted a shot on his Instagram account of the central cast with a clapperboard preparing to shoot the show in June.
He captioned the image, shared with his 68,000 followers: “Still can’t believe I actually get to post this!!!!! This feels so surreal. Already feels like family!
“The NCIS franchise is one of the biggest in the world, and I am genuinely honoured to be part of the first international reinterpretation of the show and at the same time playing an Australian in my own backyard!
“It’s rare you get to work with such a phenomenal cast, and we can’t wait to bring you all the crime drama, action and humour, all set on the world’s most beautiful harbour.”

Another key location was Bondi Beach with an Australian character correcting her American colleague’s pronunciation of iconic sandy strip.
The Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge are also big locations with the harbour itself having an integral role to play in the opening instalment.
According to the Daily Mail, the cast and crew were seen back in May going to a set in North Bondi and again in later August when they were spotted filming in a North Bondi car park.
Most recently, the cast of NCIS: Sydney shared some shots from the recent premiere held in the eponymous city and showed off some of the key locations including the harbour as the stars arrived by boat.

NCIS: Sydney’s executive producer Sara Richardson also hailed from the city and her knowledge was key to developing the new series and helping it find its own identity.
The show is headquartered in Walsh Bay and sees the action move to various locations including Maroubra and North Head.
According to Australia’s ABC, episode settings including The Rocks, Malabar Ocean Pool, Bob Hawke Beer and Leisure Centre in Marrickville.
Richardson told the outlet: “I hope they enjoy Sydney as a character as much as we did.
“I think that people outside of Sydney don’t realise how many incredible bushland areas we have as well.”
The executive continued: “So, Church Point is a really good example of that where we open an episode on a river with fishing, and it’s completely out in the bush and you’ll notice that’s where you get a lot of the wildlife jokes from on that particular episode.”
NCIS: Sydney airs on Fridays on Paramount Plus in the UK and in the USA on Tuesdays on CBS
