Jamie Lynn Spears was forced to wait in camp for "hours" before she could leave after quitting, because there was an emergency in the jungle, co-star Nick Pickard has revealed.
Britney Spears' sister was the second person to leave the I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! jungle early before the public vote opened. But it appears she had to wait around a little longer than she wanted.
Hollyoaks actor Nick Pickard became the fourth to be eliminated this week, just over a week after Jamie Lynn quit. And he's revealed all on his time in the jungle, including a scary near-miss moment.

He said: "We had 12 days of rain and once for 48 hours it did not stop. That was the night Jamie Lynn went and we had to all huddle, because the only place that's protected in there from the lightning is the Bush Telegraph because it's the only place that is reinforced with steel.
"So we're all in there. And we were in there for ages. And that's when Jamie Lynn had the old like 'oh my god' moment."
He went on: "I think she told him just before that she was going on her medical grounds and we're all huddled in. That was the worst night by far because it was 48 hours non-stop.
"We couldn't wait to get out of there. But then we had to go back out. It was still raining and the thing is with the canopy when it's even there, the rain still comes in from the side when it's tropical like that."
According to some earlier reports, it was the weather which left both Jamie Lynn and Grace Dent wanting to quit. Viewers have barely seen the sun, with campers celebrating by sunbathing when it did appear.
A source told Mail Online: "The campmates have had barely one full day of sunshine and have had to contend with endless rain which has only made the already gruelling living conditions worse. The weather has really affected the mood in camp.
"Everyone is miserable and wanting to leave." Luckily, weather forecasts improved, and it appears so did the camp's mood.
However it sounds like Sam Thompson might have had a hand in that too. Speaking highly of his co-star, Nick said: "I think I would say they all deserve to win in my book. But if you're going for my personal favourite, I think it would be Sam only because it's just his energy."
I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! airs nightly at 9pm on ITV and ITVX
