Virgin River Holiday Episodes: Teaser trailer
Teryl Rothery has become a fan-favourite for her role as Muriel on Netflix’s romance drama Virgin River.
The Canadian actress is a veteran in the industry with many successful TV, movie, and musical roles under her belt following her first professional performance in 1986.
These include Supernatural, Arrow, iZombie, Valentine in the Vineyard and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
While she has gained heaps of new fans for her portrayal of Virgin River’s retired actor, Rothery is also known for her infamous character on Stargate SG-1.
Throughout the seven seasons, she starred as Stargate Command’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr Janet Frasier dutifully saving the lives of those on her team.

Dr Janet was also unafraid of risking her own life to save others which ultimately led to the character’s demise in season seven’s two-part episode Heroes.
However, almost two decades later Rothery looks completely different from her time in the Sci-Fi series.
As well as the natural progression of life and aging gracefully, the actress’ hair was a lot shorter and styled into the trendy 90s style short bob.
While Rothery has maintained her blond locks, she used to sport a nostalgic swishy, chin-skimming cut.

Today, the actress has brighter and much longer hair which rests just below her shoulders.
While her Stargate character wore minimal makeup and red lipstick, the 60-year-old continues to be glamorous and experimental with makeup.
A quick glance at Rothery’s Instagram page will show her enhancing her natural beauty with eyelash extensions, a helping of rosy blush and light pink lipstick.
Her page also provides major insight into the behind-the-scenes of Virgin River’s fifth season which premiered earlier this month.
The actress can be seen posing for a photo on set alongside her co-stars Sarah Dugdale and Annette O’Toole.
The latest instalment introduced a major storyline for Rothery’s Muriel as she sparked a surprising romance with Dr Cameron Hayek (Mark Ghanime).
After a failed romance with Doc (Tim Matheson), she offered to help the newcomer around the town and how to navigate his stubborn boss.
Although there seems to be a 15-year age gap between the two, fans can look forward to seeing more from them in season five, part two, as they shared more than one kiss.
Virgin River seasons 1-5 are available to stream on Netflix.
