Although the luxury skirt comes with a matching luxury price tag, we’ve found the perfect affordable alternative from high street fave La Redoute, and its Recycled Pleated Lamé Skirt, £38.50 here (was £55), is perfect for getting the designer look on a budget.
La Redoute’s version has a similar metallic sheen to Maje’s version, with the same high waistband and midi-length pleated design, however the high street version has swapped out the wide black waistband for one in the same fabric as the rest of the skirt, which actually makes it look more expensive and elegant.
Despite dropping from £55 to £38.50 on the website, you can still snap up La Redoute’s Lamé Skirt in all sizes, with the range spanning sizes 6-24.
Perfect for those upcoming Christmas parties you just can’t say no to, you can pair it with a satin blouse and heels for a chic evening look, or keep it more casual with a pair of loafers and an oversized knit for more relaxed events, making it one of the easiest items in your wardrobe to style.
If silver’s not your colour, you can also snap up a similar version in a whole host of festive hues, including & Other Stories’ Relaxed Pleated Midi Skirt, £49 here (was £85), in a deep purple-hued bronze shade, or the gold Mia Pleated Midi Skirt from Monsoon, £70 here , for a warmer-toned festive colour.
You can also pick from several different colours at Warehouse, with the Metallic Lame Pleated Midi Skirt, £48.30 here (was £69), coming in pink, cobalt blue and silver.
